What Your Local Clubs Are Up To

LOCALLY

Our Rotary clubs have strong ties in the Tri-City community, with a varietyof fundraisers, events, and programs that you may already know about. These include popular events like RIBFEST, Search for the Perfect Pint, and Bottles and Bites. We also back initiatives like the Starfish Program to provide meals for local families, support individuals with addictions through Innervisions, and promote a healthier environment through projects like the Westhill Trail Project and combatting invasive plant species (Rotary Rips). Additionally, we sponsor the Cool Hoods climate program and engage in community clean-up activities. We support essential local services such as Share Family and Community Services, programs for seniors, and other community groups and services. Through our fundraising endeavors, we bring about positive

and enduring changes in Port Moody, Coquitlam, and Port Coquitlam.

GLOBALLY

Rotary comprises a worldwide community of more than 1.4 million members – individuals who are friends, leaders, and solution-seekers. They envision a world where people come together

to initiate impactful changes, globally and within our communities and in ourselves.

Rotary is known worldwide for addressing challenging issues such as promoting peace, combating disease, ensuring access to clean water and sanitation, enhancing maternal and child health, fostering education, boosting local economies, and preserving the environment.

Rotary is a leader in the Global fight to eradicate Polio and we are very very close to achieving this goal.

Curious?

Many Rotarians initially join Rotary for specific reasons, such as expanding their personal network, but end up experiencing Rotary in unexpected ways. Rotary clubs host weekly programs that offer insights into a wide range of issues, providing a platform for learning and understanding. Additionally, Rotary members have fun together and clubs form supportive

communities. Moreover, Rotary offers the opportunity to collaborate with others on issues and causes that resonate with you.

Consider this your chance to explore the world of Rotary. Is it a good match for you? Engage with club meetings in the tri cities (or any other location) and meet our members. Don’t hesitate to ask questions, join in on our activities, and take your time to decide.
